This blog was started in 2008 when we did IVF for the first time to build our family after 5 1/2 years of infertility. We now have 15 and 9 year old boys (thanks to modern medicine) and we are enjoying our blessed life as parents ♥ In the summer of 2016 we took another huge step and moved across the country from Oklahoma to New York! This blog is about life and everything in between

A Summer Day at Clifton Hill in Canada

This year in lieu of going to the county fair we all piled into the car for a drive to Canada! I had recently been to the Clifton Hill area in Niagara Falls and I knew the boys would love coming here. It's just right over the border and it's a whole touristy section where you just park then walk around riding rides, playing games, checking out stores, and seeing the falls of course!

I got us each the 6 ride pass which included:
  • Niagara Skywheel (a big ferris wheel)
  • Zombie Attack (a 4D ride)
  • Movieland Wax Museum
  • Wizards Golf (indoor glow in the dark mini golf)
  • Ghost Blasters (an interactive ride)
  • Toy Store (a 4D ride)
The first thing we did was grab some snacks because everyone was starving! Jacob and I had a hotdog, and Brad had poutine. Next we rode the ferris wheel and had amazing views of the city and the falls.

Next we headed for the indoor mini golf. It was all glow in the dark and black lights for 18 holes and was pretty fun! At the very end was  a dragon.

Next stop was drinks for everyone because it was HOT. Then we headed to the wax museum and got a good laugh at the horrible renditions of famous people. Nick had to get this pic with Jimmy Fallon.

We also had fun riding the Ghost Blaster and Toy Store rides. We love a good 4D ride! The boys wanted to ride the go karts however the line was very long and it was getting late, so we decided to save them for another trip. I grabbed us a big pretzel to share while we walked around seeing the sights, then we headed down to the falls.

This was the first time the boys had seen the falls from the Canadian side! It's really neat to be able to see both sets at once.

For our final stop of course we had to go to Tim's for treats. Nick and I got coffee and donuts, and the boys got Tim bits. As we were heading back to the car around 10pm the firework show started over the falls! We got to watch those as we made our way back to the border then on our way to home.

It was a late night but everyone had a blast riding the rides and enjoying snacks. I highly recommend Clifton Hill for a family day!
