This blog was started in 2008 when we did IVF for the first time to build our family after 5 1/2 years of infertility. We now have 14 and 8 year old boys (thanks to modern medicine) and we are enjoying our blessed life as parents ♥ In the summer of 2016 we took another huge step and moved across the country from Oklahoma to New York! This blog is about life and everything in between

First NY Craft Show

Last Sunday was my first craft show since moving to NY! I did several when I lived in Oklahoma but just haven't gotten around to signing up for one here. I finally made the time and effort to do it this spring. Bradley came along as my helper and we had a fun time together (even though I left our lunch in the fridge at home).

This show was at the Maxwell Station in Olcott, NY and there were about 40-50 vendors there.

This was also the first time I've done a show with my herbal products! Many moons ago I crocheted and sewed baby items, and only in the last 2-3 years have I transitioned to natural products/medicine. I was the only vendor there with this type of product! Everyone seemed to be intrigued and I handed out several cards.

Naturally in the last few weeks I had been very busy making products to have enough inventory to take along! I also decided to try out selling one of my tinctures, and it went well! I will be adding 2oz tinctures to my online store as well -- click here to see my FB page and follow it, or click here for my online order form!

My Etsy store has also been doing well, so I'm also staying busy making products for those shipments. Lots of repeat customers!! My next craft show is in May so I've got some breathing room before then, but my April is full of adventures so check back soon!

Hello Spring!

March is flying by, so here's a quick post with updates!

Me and Brad met my buddy Ken in Rochester for a short hike around the falls there.

Brad is doing AMAZING in school (and college!) and got a few awards this month. High honor roll, student of the month, and first place at his Science Olympiad competition in Rochester! He was also invited to apply for National Junior Honor Society, and we should hear back this week if he was accepted.

Jacob got an award as well for his reading in 1st grade!

After a snowy winter we are finally starting to see the sun and grass! The boys take advantage of the nice days and ride their bikes.

Cuddles loves to snuggle with Brad.

I've been making lots of yummy food and trying new recipes! This is flat bread pizza

This is pho and spring rolls

This is homemade gyro meat with tzatziki sauce and Greek pasta salad

And homemade pretzels! So good

I've also started fermenting my own alcohol, and here I have started hard cider, wine, and mead (honey wine). Can't wait to enjoy them!

I also made my own carbonated ginger ale which is made the same as alcohol but only fermented long enough to become fizzy. Yum!

As you can see we've been keeping busy and we are ready for spring weather! I just had a craft show today, but that will be a different post. Come back soon!
