Last Saturday was the perfect sunny day to spend the afternoon at our favorite apple orchard! We like to go to Smith's Cider Mill in Lockport, NY. They have great prices on pick-your-own apples (we got all Empire!), as well as cider donuts, slushies, local honey, and of course fresh made gallons of cider! The boys love this tradition we started, and it's always fun to sample along the way.
After that we went to a little diner for lunch and just happened to park right by the Erie Canal! We conveniently caught the locks opening for a boat to pass, so we all watched the process.
