Albion House #2 ---- WE HAVE A WINNER

Look at that beauty!!! Can I start off by saying that today is my birthday?! I am 31 years young. How am celebrating you ask? By buying a house!

On Friday we decided to go look at this house that had recently popped up. It was scheduled for an open house the next day, but we weren't going to be able to make that. We drove an hour to meet our realtor there, and as soon as we walked in the house we knew this one was different! The couple selling it has lived there 27 years and it was very well maintained.

It has a full basement, full attic, and the best part--hot water radiators!! I really was looking for those in a house. It has a big front porch, back porch, and a huge patio next to the garage. Look at this front porch!

We knew it would sell quick after the open house, so we talked on the drive home and decided to put in a strong offer in hopes they​ would accept and cancel the open house.

Long story short, after some negotiations they needed up rejecting someone else's offer, and accepting ours!!! They​ canceled the open house and immediately took it off the MLS listing. Our offer had no contingencies so it really won't fall thru unless someone changes their mind.

Eeek!! So it's ours! It is a super long drive to my work. That is the major downside. But I'm willing to deal with it for now until we can make different arrangements. The happiness of our family and future is worth it! Closing will be in 2 months, and there's just a few custom tweeks we will have done before we fully move in.
