Kidney Beans!!

I can't believe 8 weeks is here! Today I am 2 months pregnant, and only 1 month away from being in the 2nd trimester. I am very excited with each passing day and week! And on Wednesday, I will see my RE for the last time, and get another beautiful picture of my baby. Here is what he/she looks like this week:

New this week: Webbed fingers and toes are poking out from your baby's hands and feet, his eyelids practically cover his eyes, breathing tubes extend from his throat to the branches of his developing lungs, and his "tail" is just about gone. In his brain, nerve cells are branching out to connect with one another, forming primitive neural pathways. You may be daydreaming about your baby as one sex or the other, but the external genitals still haven't developed enough to reveal whether you're having a boy or a girl. Either way, your baby -- about the size of a kidney bean — is constantly moving and shifting, though you still can't feel it.

Amazing isn't it! Otherwise things are going well. No nausea (thank you Jesus), and I think the fatigue is getting a little better. Of course, now I'm peeing all the time! And within the next couple of weeks I should be able to start hearing the heartbeat with a Doppler. I have a friend at work who has one she is going to loan me. I can't wait!!
