Celebrating 15 Years of Marriage

I just can't believe it has been 15 years since we snuck off to the courthouse that cold Friday in January. We had just gotten engaged on Christmas after dating for 6 months. We knew it was the real thing, and we were ready to start our new life together!!

Now here is a treat! These are a few candid pics of us in 2002 while we were still dating...

...and here are the pics from our ACTUAL wedding day in 2003 when we got married at the OKC courthouse downtown with our moms present! Most of my friends have not seen these because I don't have them in digital form. These are pictures of pictures! We were so innocent and young, but all we needed was love.

And here are the pretty "wedding" pictures on our 1yr anniversary. This was actually our vow renewal.

I would never have guessed that 15yrs later we would be living in NY, in our dream house, with 2 beautiful boys, financially secure, and more in love than ever!

It has been a bumpy road for sure, I mean we basically grew up with each other! If we had not been so committed to making it work, we could have easily grown apart instead of growing together. We are so happy to be in this wonderful place in our lives together, and we can't wait to see what else our future holds.

Now what should we start planning to celebrate our 20th????!!!!

Enjoying 2018

We've been enjoying our year so far! Despite some very cold temperatures, I took the boys out on Brad's Christmas break to do some sledding! It was our first time ever, and there was actually a reporter from our local newspaper there, and he did an article about Bradley. Isn't that cool??

We spent a quiet NYE at home with champagne and Burger King, ha!

And we've been slowly but surely making slow progress on our kitchen redo! Don't worry, I'll post before/after pics when it's all done.

Here is Cuddles watching Nick plow the side walks.

I tried a Pinterest craft with the boys and it turned out cool! We filled water balloons with water and a few drops of food coloring, then stuck them outside to freeze. The turned into ice marbles!

The boys having fun with their toys....

We had a warm snap for a few days this week. It got up to 60 and all 2ft of snow we had on our yard melted!!! All the grass was still green underneath too.

But it was short lived because we ended up getting another foot in just one evening! We are now covered again, and temps are in the teens for awhile.

Hopefully the weather stays calm for a little while, because my trip to Oklahoma is coming up in about 10 days! I'll be watching the forecast like a hawk to see what I need to prepare for. Let's hope for NO flight drama!
