10 Months Old, Craft Show, and Cookout PICS

AAAgggh!!! Only 2 more months until he is ONE! Wow.

At 10 months old you:

• are a very happy baby and love to play
• sleep from about 8:30pm till 8am
• don't fuss at all when going to sleep
• play around in your crib before going to sleep
• don't eat very many mashed foods now
• are very good at eating soft finger foods, and chewing
• use a sippy cup for most of your meals
• are still in a size 3 diaper, but wear a size 4 at night
• are wearing 12 month clothes
• are wearing size 3 shoes still, but almost a 4
• still have blue eyes!
• need another hair cut soon
• still say "mama" and "dada" plus other babblings
• crawl very well
• pull up to standing easily, and can let go with one hand
• take steps well if we hold your hands
• take two 1-2hr naps a day

I think that about sums it up! I been very busy these last few days. Friday and Saturday I did my first craft show in Del City with a coworker at a church. It was pretty slow because it was that church's first show, but I was glad because I was nervous. My table display was pitiful, but hey it was my first one!! I had a good time, and am looking forward to doing a bunch in the fall.

I worked Saturday night, and after sleeping for a few hours Sunday morning, we all headed over to my mom's house for a family cookout in the backyard. My brother Eric did the grilling...

I brought Brad's highchair outside so he could eat with us at the picnic table. I crumbled up a burger patty for him to eat, and he loved it! He ate it with no trouble.

He also ate a mushroom--didn't like it, and some sandwich cheese--loved it--for the first time. We all really enjoyed being outside, and the weather was perfection!

We had a very nice day, and didn't get home until almost bed time. This week I am going to try to get outside and work in the flowerbeds and get them ready for begonia planting!!

Monologue

No pictures today--it's 3am and I am posting from work. These last few days have been dark, chilly, and rainy...and I LOVE it! Nick and I both love it when the weather is dreary and gray. It is especially nice for those who work overnight and have to sleep during the day!

Next week is going to be a busy week for me. Laundry is Monday night, I work Tuesday night, Wednesday night a friend is coming over, Friday and Saturday is my craft show, then I work Saturday night. Whew! I'm kind of nervous about the craft show, but I'm not really doing it to make money (this time at least), I am really just doing this one for the experience and to see how everyone else does their own thing.

My little bambino has been keeping us busy. He is crawling all over now (still dragging his gimp leg in his "zombie" crawl as I like to call it) and likes to pull things down...sometimes bumping his noggin and crying for momma to love him back to life. And of course it goes unsaid that he continues to put any and everything into his mouth. He still loves to go outside so we have been trying to enjoy it as much as we can before it gets too hot here.

We have big plans for our house this summer. They include--but are not limited to--replace downstairs carpet with wood laminate, replacing stovetop and microwave, replacing boards on patio and restaining it, painting the garage floor and putting shelving in, and painting the paneling in living room. This will keep us plenty busy and give me an incentive to work extra....ugh.

Nick is stilling applying at lots of places and trying to get a job lined up for the summer. Luckily his two classes are online so that shouldn't limit when he can work. He's got a few more weeks left in this semester so he has been busy studying for tests and getting everything finished. His graduation in December can't get here fast enough!

Speaking of December, I can NOT believe how fast this year is going! I will be 24 in less than two months, Bradley will be 1 in 2 months, Nick will be 29 in 3 months, and we will have been together for EIGHT YEARS in 3 months!! In a week or two, we are going to uncover our pool and begin the cleanout...wish us luck!

What I've Been Up To...

Sorry no post for 8 days! Time gets away from me occasionally...but I have been a busy momma, wifey, and nurse! Here are some of the things I've captured on camera to show you...

We dropped the crib mattress down, and I removed the mobile. Also put a little fan up for these hot Oklahoma nights...

I grilled some chicken breast and cooked a bag of black beans and little one got the leftovers! He loved them! He can eat all kinds of stuff with his 8 teeth now.

Whoever installed white carpet in our house needs to be shot. It was needing to be replaced anyways, but I kind of finished it off when I spilled a glass of red koolaid in the middle of my living room...

I love to watch my two favorite people playing together! Bradley is always so excited to see daddy come home from class.

Here he is crawling over to look at our shoes by the front door. He loves to play with our shoes!

And lastly, here is a little baby onesie that I appliqued for a former coworker's baby shower tonight. I also gave her a handmade pacifier clip.

Good Times

Right now, we have our windows open with the cool breeze flowing in...and it is pouring the rain!!! I love thunderstorms! As always, I have been a busy girl at home. Our 3rd bedroom is our "craft room" where Nick has all of his music equipment, GI Joe collection, and big computer on one side...and I have alllll of my sewing/crafting/scrapbooking/crocheting stuff on the other. Thankfully there are two double-door closets so we each get a closet. It is nice because that way we can do our hobbies separately but still be in the same room.

Well on my side I had my tables set up and organized, but I never actually got to the closet...and boxes were just spilling out onto the floor and it was really getting on my nerves. So today during Bradley's naptime I knocked it out and I'm quite happy with the results!

I like to call it "organized chaos." I also finished up a bunch of pendant necklaces that I have been putting together for my upcoming craft show.

Occasionally I will go to a Salvation Army thrift store here in Norman (that I recently discovered) and browse through what they have. I pick up things here and there, hoping to get an inspiration to make something new with it. One thing I like to do is get XL mens shirts for super cheap and use the fabric for other things--like these shorts! I liked the bright orange for summertime, and I finally got around to making Bradley a little pair of shorts. A lot of his onesies have orange in them, so he will be able to get a lot of wear out of them.

He was napping while I made them (and they only took like 30min!) so as soon as he woke up, I put them on! He looks so freakin cute in them.

And I added little buttons on the back (so that he can't pull them off, and so daddy doesn't put them on backwards).

I've got several other old tshirts just sitting around, waiting to be refashioned....stay tuned!

Easter Traditions

Yesterday was a fun day filled with family time, good food, and an egg hunt! I worked Saturday night, so after sleeping for a bit, we all got up and got ready to head over to my mom's house for the big fun.

After eating his own Easter dinner, little Bradley had a blast playing in the yard and watching the guys hide the eggs. Yes he got to hunt for eggs too--with some help from mommy and daddy!

This is basically what he did the whole time--sit in the grass and chew on eggs!
