This blog was started in 2008 when we did IVF for the first time to build our family after 5 1/2 years of infertility. We now have 14 and 8 year old boys (thanks to modern medicine) and we are enjoying our blessed life as parents ♥ In the summer of 2016 we took another huge step and moved across the country from Oklahoma to New York! This blog is about life and everything in between

Apple Picking Time!

Last Saturday we headed out to Pendleton, NY for apple picking at our favorite cider Mill and orchard! We filled up 2 bags with about 11lb of Macintosh apples, and of course had to get some fresh cider and treats.

Since we got there early enough, we were were able to see them making fresh cider!

It's crazy to think this was already our 4th time doing this annual tradition! Time flies when you're loving life.

Family Vacation to Hollywood Beach, FL

We just got back from a weekend family getaway to Hollywood, FL! We left Saturday afternoon and got back home Tuesday evening. We all had a great time, and I'm sure we will return next year!

I found a great little beachside apartment for us to stay in, complete with our own private bedroom (King size bed!), large bathroom, dining room, kitchenette, living room, TV, WiFi, and free parking. To keep costs (and stress level) down we ate out for lunches, and ate in for breakfast and dinners.

We mainly just hung out on the beach and played in the water! The kids had a great time swimming and playing in the sand while Nick and I lounged in our beach chairs. I did some sunbathing (and of course got a little too much), and we took turns swimming with Jacob in the waves.

How funny is it that our apartment was on Oklahoma Street!?

When the sun started going down, we took evening strolls on the beach and watched the moon rise.

It was neat watching this storm build and move towards the shore.

Our last day there we went into the Everglades for a fan boat excursion! Nick and I have done this before, but that was before kids. They had a great time, and we got to see 2 alligators UP CLOSE.

After the boat, we got to go thru the zoo and see all different exotic animals that had been rescued.

We had to get an early start Tuesday to come home, and Jacob was pooped! He fell asleep on the plane with Nick.

Everything went smoothly, and we all had a fun time! However it's always nice to be home.
